Getting Started with AnyForm
Welcome to AnyForm! This guide walks you through everything from installing the extension to filling your very first form. It only takes a couple of minutes, and you're always in control of what AnyForm knows about you.
1. Install AnyForm and pin it to your toolbar
Install AnyForm from the Chrome Web Store. Once it's added, click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar, find AnyForm, and click the pin icon next to it. Pinning keeps AnyForm one click away instead of buried in the extensions menu.
2. Sign in with Google
Open AnyForm and choose Continue with Google. AnyForm uses Google Sign-In to identify you and to create a private, app-specific folder in your own Google Drive — that's where your profiles will live.
3. Read and accept the privacy screen
Before you can create a profile, AnyForm shows a short screen explaining exactly how your data is handled:
- Stored only in your Google Drive
- Never shared with third parties
- Delete anytime, fully in your hands
It also lists what you should never enter into an AnyForm profile — passwords, passport details, SSN/National ID/Aadhaar numbers, and bank or card numbers. Tick both boxes (agreeing to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and confirming you understand what not to store) to continue.
4. Tell AnyForm who you're setting up for
Choose Individual or Business on the next screen. This just tailors the onboarding flow that follows — you can create any mix of profiles afterward regardless of which you pick.
5. Know your two views
AnyForm works in two places, and both show the same profiles:
- Side panel — a compact view docked to the side of your browser, opened from the toolbar icon or from the "Form detected" badge that appears on pages with forms.
- Full page view — opens in its own tab, used for things like building out a detailed profile or visiting Settings.
6. Create your first profile
From the side panel, click Create Profile and choose a profile type. If you have a resume handy, uploading it is the fastest way to get a fully populated profile — see the Profile Management guide for the full walkthrough.
You'll only see the privacy screen once, the first time you sign in. If you ever want to review it again, it's always available from Settings → Account → View policy.
Nothing happens when I click "Continue with Google." Make sure Chrome isn't blocking pop-ups for the extension — the Google account picker opens in a separate window.
I don't see the privacy screen anymore. That's expected — it's shown once for new accounts. Returning users go straight to their profiles.
