How to Book Tatkal Tickets Faster with AI Autofill

Anyone who has tried to book a Tatkal ticket on IRCTC knows the drill: the booking window opens, seats in the Tatkal quota go in a rush, and every second spent typing passenger details is a second closer to "no seats available." Typing the same passenger and payment details by hand, under that kind of time pressure, is exactly the kind of task autofill exists for — but it has to be fast and precise, not just automated.

Why general autofill isn't built for this

AnyForm's regular AutoFill reads a form and uses AI to match it against your saved profile — which works well for the huge variety of forms across the web, but adds a matching step that Tatkal booking doesn't have time for. That's why Tatkal autofill is a separate, dedicated mode: it never calls the AI backend. It maps your saved profile directly onto IRCTC's known Tatkal passenger-details fields, the same way every time, with no matching delay.

Setting up Tatkal autofill

  1. Create a Tatkal Profile. In AnyForm, add a new profile and choose the Tatkal Profile type. Fill in passenger details (name, age, gender, nationality, berth preference) and payment details ahead of time — do this whenever you have a few spare minutes, not during the booking rush.
  2. Set it as your active profile before the window opens. Make sure your Tatkal Profile is active in AnyForm's side panel ahead of time, so there's nothing left to configure once the clock starts.
  3. Navigate to IRCTC's Tatkal passenger-details page. Tatkal autofill only activates on this specific page — IRCTC's login and train-search pages still use AnyForm's regular AutoFill.
  4. Click "Fill Tatkal Form." On the Tatkal passenger-details page, with a Tatkal profile active, AnyForm's usual AutoFill button is replaced with a dedicated Fill Tatkal Form button. One click fills passenger and payment details for up to 4 passengers — matching IRCTC's own Tatkal-quota cap on a single PNR.

A few things worth knowing

  • It's rule-based, not AI-guessed. This mode fills exactly what's saved in your active Tatkal profile, mapped directly onto IRCTC's form fields — there's no interpretation step, which is also why setup matters: if a field wasn't saved in your profile, it won't be filled.
  • The button only shows up on the right page and profile combination. If you don't see "Fill Tatkal Form," double-check you're on IRCTC's exact Tatkal passenger-details URL and that a Tatkal-type profile is currently active.
  • Your data stays in your own Google Drive. Like every AnyForm profile, your Tatkal profile is stored only in your own Drive — AnyForm never stores passwords, card numbers, or other sensitive identifiers outside what the form itself requires.
